About Homeopathy

Homeopathy is a gentle, safe and effective form of holistic treatment which can be used for many different types of conditions. Homeopathic healing works deeply, meaning lasting, positive healing on the physical, mental and emotional levels can be achieved.

Homeopathy uses the idea that we all have an internal ‘vital force’, or energy which enables us to grow and repair and overcome stresses in the environment. When the vital force is under too much pressure, we start to produce symptoms, and these are the expressions of our ‘dis-ease’. When taking a homeopathic remedy, this stimulates our vital force (or immune system) into healing itself, restoring balance.

Principles of Homeopathy

There are four basic principles of homeopathy which work together in harmony with each other:

\
Individuality

Each person when they seek homeopathic treatment is treated as unique, because you are unique!

\
Like Cures Like
Imagine chopping an onion when you may get a runny nose and itchy eyes, well the homeopathic remedy Allium Cepa (red onion) is a main remedy for hayfever and colds with watery nose and eyes. Symptoms experienced with the original substance have the ability to cure that symptom in a sick person, when given in low dose.
\
Less is More
The less of a substance given, the more healing power it has. Smaller doses will stimulate the immune system into action, without the need for large doses which may cause side-effects, as can happen with conventional medicine. To achieve this in homeopathy we dilute and succuss the remedies to potentise them, giving them dynamic energy, which in turn stimulates our own body’s healing ability.
\
Totality
This refers to the collection of symptoms experienced by an individual on the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual levels.

These four principles are the cornerstones of homeopathy and work in synergy together making homeopathy the most profound healing medicine.

“The highest ideal of cure is the rapid, gentle and permanent restoration of health…”
